General Practitioner
Dr Raheel Alam graduated from Melbourne University and started her medical training in the western suburbs of Melbourne. She fell in love with general practice—the variety of primary care—and the powerful connections she made with patients when she started her training in a little town called Castlemaine in Victoria. She also completed a year in an aboriginal medical service in Ballarat during the pandemic. She is passionate about working with her patients to optimize their health through education, conversation, and shared decision-making. She has a special interest in women's health and wants to support women’s contraceptive choices, sexual health, and menopause.
She enjoys drinking coffee or chasing after her two boys, or sometimes both at the same time.
